I want a flat tummy!
As it is coming up to Christmas which means lots of nights out and equally as many figure hugging dresses, it is now time for me to focus on having a flat tummy – I’m really not one for Bridget Jones knickers!
So, here are some top tips for a flat tummy; avoid carbs, no bread, pasta, definitely no biscuits or cakes and eat lots of fruit. Try to avoid eating after 7pm at night as the food will lie heavy in your stomach…and last but not least do sit ups each day!
Another top tip – If you really can’t resist a slice of toast or a bowl of pasta with tomato sauce, then try a wheat-free option, there is a huge selection available and Tesco and Sainsburys!
Cheap ways to keep fit
I have been thinking of different ways to keep fit instead of going to the gym and i have found some strange and some day to day activities that can keep you thin.
- Sex – works all muscles
- Cleaning – works all muscles
- getting off the bus 1 stop before yours and walking – works the leg muscles
- Laughing – works the stomache muscles
- Laundry – lifting, squatting and stretching
- Walking the dog – works leg muscles
- Go to sleep earlier so you dont pick at food
- Dont skip breakfast so you dont snack in the morning
- Gardening – again lifting, squatting and stretching
- Climb stairs instead of taking the lift
Get a body like Dannii’s
Dannii Minogue is looking great on this series of X Factor and it has been revealed in Star Magazine that she has done this by maintaining a low-fat eating plan and a consistent exercise schedule.
She follows a strict organic diet that bans wheat, red meat and fatty dairy products. It consists of a lot of lean protein such as eggs, fish, nuts and soya milk.
Her work out consist’s of 1 hour at least 3 times a week and she has said she is hooked on the power plate machine which is a favorite of fellow judge Cheryl Cole.
Another tip to her getting most of the attention this year is that she has stopped the botox injections which gives her more expressions in the facial area.

Gym Classes
I am not a fan of going to the gym but i have become a fan of classes which are at the gym.
Classes which are good for you and fun are:
Spinning Class – Sit on a bike and spin your legs in time with an instructor
Legs, bums and tums – a workout that focuses on legs, bums and tums
Total Combat – self defence disciplines including kickboxing, tai chi and karate
Salsa – a great way to get your hips moving
Step classes – a way to get you moving but not at a fast pace
Aqua Aerobics – aerobic type moves in the water to increase mobility, improve fitness, muscular strength and endurance.

Salads
It is a known fact that a Salad is not fattening, that is until you cover it with salad dressing.
I am a big fan of a Caesar Salad when i am out having a meal before a night out as i always thought it was light and good for you but i have been told that a salad from a restaurant is one of the worst things you can order and a pizza is probably healthier for you.
So beware when going out for a meal do not always go for what you think is healthy, go for fish, chicken and veg.

Wii Fit
I have got a Wii Fit as i am not the keenest person to be going to the gym and this way i dont feel so bad if i miss a night as i go on this every night i dont go.
There are lots of activities to keep you occupied like:
- Yoga
- Balance Games
- Aerobics
- Training plus
A personal favorite for me is the Hoola Hoop as it really gets your heart pumping and also lets you get a bit of a sweat on.
The Wii Fit is ideal for any age group as you have a body test when you add your own character so grandads and grannys are good to go as well as us young uns..
Aerobic DVD
There are lots of Aerobic DVD’s hitting the shops with it coming up to Christmas and i have been looking on Amazon.co.uk to find out what is selling

there are lots of different types of aerobics that can be done so dont think it is just stepping of and on a box.
Sit ups dont always work
A lot of people think the only way to get a flat tummy is to do sit-ups every day, these do play a part but most flabby abs are caused by an unhealthy gut, bad posture and a toxic diet.
A few secrets to a flat stomach which can help you along the way are:
- Avoid fizzy drinks
- Avoid Chewing Gum
- Avoid wheat and white foods (eg cake, pasta)
- Cut back on Dairy
- drink herbal teas
- Try not to get too stressed
- Use Epsom bath sales
- Exercise (inc running, cycling, aerobics, swimming and kickboxing)
- Avoid fruit after your meals
- Activate your abs
- Keep your shoulders relaxed and breathe properly
- Do the right ab exercises
gastric Band
An easy option to get a smaller tummy is to have the gastric band fitted but this is only ideal if you are obese and have trouble loosing your weight..
The operation is to fit an adjustable band around the upper part of your stomach to create a pouch, the pouch fills up quickly than passes through the gap slowly into the lower part of your stomach, it than passes normally through your digestive system and the operation is usally done using key hole surgery.
Complications that can come from the operation are:
- Infection
- Damage to other organs or abdomen

- Gallstones
